a monthly forum for artists to participate in an open critique discussion for artistic growth and development.

Second Tuesday of each month

Whether you have questions about pricing, presentation, framing, how to create a thematic exhibition, or simply honest feedback on style or voice, this event is for you. Artists of all levels and media are invited to bring up to 3 pieces of artwork and specific questions for discussion in this open forum. 

The Artists Open Critique provides a forum for artists from emerging to professional, to participate in a constructive critique session and is moderated by owner, sharon reaves.

Artists sign up at the beginning of the event and bring pieces of their artwork to present to the group and ask specific questions concerning technique, design, composition, and presentation. Artists Open Critique participants should please be prepared with: 

--  up to three pieces of artwork to show
--  a brief statement of intent for your artwork 
--  a brief explanation of the medium that you utilize
-- one to three specific questions to present to the attendees

Join our resident wine expert/merchant/blogger, Dave Chambers, for our monthly wine education class.  

Cost is $49 per session. Must be 21.

Summer Wines
Attendees will investigate the refreshing, aromatic wines that go 
so well with the foods of summer.  We'll discuss vinification 
techniques winemakers use to preserve the heady aromas of
these refreshing wines, as well as talk about food pairings.  
Summer recipes, designed specifically to enhance these wines,
will be included with the class notes for each attendee.  The wine
line-up includes:
  • Uvaggio 2007 Barbera Rosato
  • Qupé, 2007 Bien Nacido Cuvee
  • Au Bon Climat, 2004 “Hildegard"

Your Voice/Your Art: Poetry Critique

Join us the first Tuesday of every month for an informal night of poetry.  Perfect for writers and aspiring writers of all levels whether you are looking for inspiration or are ready to share your latest prose. Our leader is local poet/performer Sam Flot.
