"t h e r e i s a t i m e t o ' s t a r t '...
and a time to realize you have already become." -- Sharon
Somewhere in the gap between an artists' creative expression and a gallery's eager acceptance, there is a need for an artist to find a voice and a venue.
Founded in June of 2005 by Sharon R. Reaves, (www.reavesgallery.com) the goal of Starting-Artists is to allow these amazing, yet momentarily undiscovered artists to find a safe haven to express themselves and to gain skills to better prepare them for the long road leading to the fulfillment of their dreams.
In addition, we hope to encourage art as a vehicle for change by supporting local charities. Past beneficiaries include:
•The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, www.leukemia-lymphoma.org
•Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Francisco and the Peninsula

Our History
I am proud to say that in 2 1/2 short years (from June 2005-December 2007) with approx. 45 events under our belt, and countless artists, buyers and charities that Starting-Artists will no longer actively host events under this name. What we "started" has grown and evolved into Reaves Gallery as of April 2007. I invite you to join us in this continual celebration.
Endless gratitude and love to everyone who helped us along this journey!!!
